History

OPAC is a leader company in the agricultural segment with specific know how in the production of citrus and vegetables. The Organization of Producer (see OP) started its work in the national and international market since the early sixties.
The founder, Antonino Campisi, as a real pioneer on its segment with an international mentality foresaw the business opportunity by crossing the regional borders to approach the North Italian and European market.
The company is managed from Giuseppe, (Land production Director) and Dario (Commercial Director). Both Giuseppe and Dario with their son: Nino, Roberto, Ludovica and Barbara manage the company combining tradition and innovation. The dinamic approach, the love for the quality and the respect for the for the land allow OPAC to be a leader company in its market segment.

Channelling System

The company is part of the “ Channelling System” to allow an higher value of the typical local products. The channelling systme is an added value to the local products allowing an higher visibility respect their competitors.
The company is a founder partner of “Consorzio di tutela del limone di Siracusa IGP”.

Biologic products

Nowadays The market demand of controlled, certificated and biological product is extrememly increasing. Consumer are getting more and more conscious of their purchase because they realized their wellness depends on what they eat. To satisfy the market demand OPAC invested only in biological products since 2000.

Logistic

All products are collected and packaged in the warehouse of c.da S. Teresa Longarini (SR). The headquarter consist in 10.000 sqm building with solar panels to produce enough electrical energy (1 MW ) for their needs respecting the environment and the quality life. The company is divided in 4 compartments:

stock and loading in refrigerator with a capacity of 1000 pallet

Sicilian Quality, European Organisation

All machinery have an advanced technology to improve all internal processing. A new processing line was implemented with optic fiber to process citrus selecting and separating them per size and per colour.

Quality and Traecability

The GD consumer as well the consumer segment requires quality and constant availability of the product.
OPAC Campisi satisfies all needs thanks to the Quality, Security and Autocontrol system based on strict and constant quality controls of the fruit and vegetable from field to delivery. The processing rules of OPAC for the biological products allow nature to combat pesticides abuse with its own instruments respecting humans and the environment. All control are made fro the agronomic team controlling technically the field processing and the growth of the prodcuts, and from the European Union controller acting on the fields of the single producers.
Each product is controlled, registred and analyzed from the pick up to the arrival into the warehouse until the delivery to the client to guarantee consumer the treacaebility, quality and best availble freshness.
